As Headteacher, I would like to wish you a warm welcome to Radstock Primary School!
Here at Radstock, we aim to bring learning alive through a hands-on approach and foster a love of learning in our pupils. We are preparing them to be global citizens and as a consequence, work to provide them with a set of skills which will support them in the future. We aim to be a fully-inclusive school, where each pupil's achievements are celebrated and there is an atmosphere of mutual respect and trust, built around our school values. We have high expectations for all pupils in their work and their behaviour, but above all, want them to try their best in all that they do and persevere, even when it is hard. It is for this reason that we have adopted a set of learning behaviours, known as Secrets of Success, to support our pupils in developing these key skills.
We have a hard-working and dedicated staff team who work tirelessly to support the pupils and help them to achieve high standards in their learning, whilst also ensuring that each pupil is a well-rounded individual. We offer a range of opportunities for learning with cooking, art, music, sport and outdoor learning as part of a curriculum to allow our pupils to learn through experience. The staff team work hard to provide a caring environment so that our pupils feel secured, valued and happy.
We want to work with you as parents and carers in partnership to create a happy and positive school experience for your child, stretching not only their academic abilities, but helping them to develop socially and emotionally. We hope that you will feel welcome to get involved in whatever way you can to contribute to our school community. Visits are warmly welcomed during the school day to come and meet the staff and children and see first-hand what we have to offer.
Just like the children, we are striving to continuously improve and build on our successes. As such, we warmly welcome your constructive feedback and on-going support. We hope that our website gives you an indication of life at Radstock Primary School, but if you need any further information, please do not hesitate to contact the school office. We would also be happy to provide you with a paper copy of the information on this website, should you wish it.
